Hospitality workforce trainer and past chair of the Maine Tourism Commission, Donna Fichtner, will discuss developing customized strategies for building outstanding sales and service teams.
$25 per person includes Breakfast Buffet.
Donna is a consultant and trainer for Maine’s hospitality industry. She helped to initiate the first Hospitality Management program on the high school level and later developed and managed the first four-year hospitality degree program in Maine at Husson College. In response to industry demand, Fichtner began developing seminars that focus on board training, customer service excellence, destination knowledge and front-line employee development in 2000. A past chair of the Maine Tourism Commission, she now serves on the Natural Resource Development and Education Committee and is on the board of the Maine Tourism Association. In 2003 she received the Maine Tourism Association’s Marketing Award for her innovative work of statewide significance in capturing and marketing the National Folk Festival and was inducted into Maine’s Tourism Hall of Fame in May, 2007.
The Maine Merchants Association organizes a number of special events each year for the benefit of our membership. In addition to our annual meeting, we organize a number of seminars, networking events and targeted legislative events throughout Maine.
We actively partner with other organizations as well to help promote the events most relevant to our membership base.
